This policy explains what personal data INSTloop collects through this website and by email, why, and the rights you have. This website and INSTloop are operated by INSTloop ("we", "us"). Contact: product@instloop.com.

1. What we collect

• Email you send us. When you write to us for a trial, a price or support, we receive your name, email address, company and anything else you include.
• Technical data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, we do not load fonts or scripts from third parties, and we do not sell or rent personal data.

2. Why we use it and our legal basis

• To answer your enquiry, send a trial and quote a price: steps taken at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to you.
• To issue and administer a licence: performance of a contract.
• To keep the site secure and working: our legitimate interest.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation.

3. Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and the domain's DNS. It may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site against abuse.
• GoDaddy provides our email service.

These providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

4. The INSTloop application

The INSTloop application runs on your own computer and works offline. Your projects, client documents and engineering data stay on your computer or in a shared folder you choose; we do not collect them. If you turn on the optional AI chat for a project, the questions you ask and the project data needed to answer them are sent directly from your computer to Anthropic using your own API key, under your agreement with Anthropic. We never receive them. Licence keys are checked on your computer.

5. How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not lead to a licence are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Customer and licence records are kept for as long as the licence is active and then for the period required by tax and accounting law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email product@instloop.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

7. Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our email and records is limited to the people who need it.

8. Children

This site and INSTloop are for professionals and are not directed at children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
